The squeaky wheel gets the…certification.

I was incensed when I read that a student by the name of Landon Woollard from Shasta High School in Redding, CA was the first student to get his ROBOTC certification.  First of all, I had no idea this certification even existed,l nobody told me! Imagine that.  Now, second of all, I didn’t even receive an honourary certification in lieu of experience.  So, naturally, I voiced my outrage to the Timothy Friez, the senior software engineer at Robomatter:

So, a few minutes later, lo and behold, my certification appeared!  It’s official, people, I’m certified (or certifiable, depending on who you talk to).

Pure awesomeness

How awesome is this?  Still, I’ll never be able to hold the title of being the first student to get certified, mostly because I didn’t take the test, which I would probably fail, and also because I am actually not a student.  However, if you are a student and you think this would be a pretty cool certificate to have, then you should definitely take a look here: [LINK].  Not only will it look good on a resume, you can also get lab science and elective credit for the University of California A-G requirements. The class also satisfies their computer proficiency for graduation.  That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

A big congratulations to Landon Woollard for this achievement and his awesome teacher Mr. Brian Grigsby for teaching robotics with ROBOTC in the first place!  Marisa Kuntz, a classmate of Landon, was the first female to finish the certification a few weeks later, so a big congrats to her as well!
