Upcoming Project: RPi EV3 Remote

Element14 Parts
My stuff!

Inspiration struck me the other day and I’ve come up with a new project.  I’m going to use a Raspberry PI for it, since I am such a fan of Linux, to make a remote control for the EV3.  It’s going to use an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to control the WiFi connected robot.  I ordered the list of component I would need from Newark.  Despite the nearly overwhelming choice components, boards and accessories, I managed to find what I needed pretty quickly.

So, these are the parts I’ll be using:

The link for the RPi is to a model B, but I’ll be using a model A, instead.

I haven’t decided how I am going to implement it all, maybe Python, maybe something else.  Instructions how to recreate it all will be made available and the code will be posted on my GitHub space.

This is going to be fun!
