If you have a CNC machine, which I don’t, and you’re fond of all your limbs, which I am, you may want to take a look at the cool safety guide they made over at RS’s Info Zone. Click on the picture to go to the full sized one. Print it out and hang it close to the machine to remind you!
Maybe they should make one about leaving LEGO bricks on the floor. I reckon that’s almost as dangerous!

Absolutely NEVER wear gloves while operating a CNC – or any rotary machine tool!!!!
NEVER WEAR GLOVES!!!!
This is because a glove can easily get caught in the tool without you noticing, and can suck your whole hand/arm into the machine – before you even notice that you’ve touched anything. You are MUCH better off not wearing gloves – you have greater dexterity, you know exactly how fat your fingers are, and if you DO get caught, hopefully you just lose some skin, or just a finger.
NO GLOVES!
You are right. Hear this a lot that you are much better off without wearing gloves.
All the best,
Baugruppen

A lot of people forget to take their gloves back off when they re-start their CNC Machines and this is a big cause of accidents. No gloves on while machine is running!
