The other day, I ordered some Raspberry Pi bits and pieces from my local supplier called SOSSolutions. Among the parts were a Raspberry Pi B V2 and a very fancy looking Pimeroni Pibow Coupé Ninja. I noticed the lettering was a bit deeper and slightly less clear than my red Coupé, which I had purchased previously, but it was nothing shockingly bad. I Tweeted about it:
Just finished putting my 2nd #RPi V2 in a very nice @pimoroni Pibow Ninja Coupé. The engraved text is a bit clearer on the red one, though.

It wasn’t unreadable, just not as refined as the red one and definitely not something I would ever consider sending back. I posted a nice picture of the two cases next to each other, so people could see just how slick the cases looked:

About 20 minutes later, Jon from Pimeroni responded with this:
@XanderSoldaat that looks a bit off – would you mind sending us a higher res photo of the ninja lid? jon@pimoroni.com 🙂

So, I mailed them some high res pics and Paul Beech, the director of Pimoroni told me that it was clearly not up to their standards and if I wouldn’t mind sending it back to them, so they could take a proper look at it. They would send me a new one in return and reimburse me for the postage. So I popped it in the mail today and I’m now waiting for my new case, which should get here within the next few days.
My hat goes off to the wonderful people at Pimoroni who really care about their product and will go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure only the best products make it to their customers. I am simply amazed that they offered to exchange the case, even though I didn’t buy it from them! I guess I am just not used to that level of customer care. Many kudos to Jon and Paul from Pimoroni! You rock!
