My bricks spend a lot of time not inside a construction of some kind since I spend most of my time developing software, rather than building. A couple of months ago I built a simple studded Lego construction to allow me to use two bricks at a tilt to allow easy reading and a way for me to keep the brick and whatever I was programming for next to each other. It looks alright but the way it was constructed made it a real pain in the butt to change batteries. So last night I got to thinking and played a bit with LDD and came with this:
The brick can slide in and out very easily and is at a nice, easy to read tilt. I made it yellow because that’s the colour I almost never use when building a robot. If you’re interested, you can download the LDD file right here: [LINK].
Looks nice! I have been using something Shep showed on his blog some time ago and find it very practical. Taking out the NXT is slightly more cumbersome though.

OK, my LEGO collection is being reorganized so it can be stored in a modified bed, now a large tray. I do no have as many peices as you do, what do YOU do to store LEGOs and still be able to find them within a few minutes, and not hours or days?
