For about two weeks there was a bit of a scare, while the FIRST folks were deciding whether or not my Driver Suite was actually legal to use in the FTC. It had been used for years prior to someone actually asking the question. Their initial reaction was “no”, but with a little coaxing from the people at Robomatter, they have settled on a “yes”.
A big thank you to Tim Friez for dealing with this matter!

All this hard work and effort on a voluntary basis would have been an immense disappointment, had FTC decided otherwise! Xander and Bot Bench are invaluable as a source of knowledge, news, and learning and I consider him to be at the pinnacle of Mindstorms Wizardry.
Thank you for the kind words, Glenn!
Since the driver suite is endoresed by, and (periodically) distributed with RobotC, it seems to me like it should’ve been a moot point. In any event, I’d encourage teams using the driver suite to have their programmers dig in to those files and observe how professional code is written. Nice job Xander.
Thanks for the compliment, Ron!
