Sometimes I sit in my LEGO lair and look at all the stuff I have in there and I realise that a LOT of it has been given to me by kind-hearted souls and companies (which are obviously run by kind-hearted people). I have received letters sent to me by physical mail to thank me for the Driver Suite, for that I am also grateful. Receiving a letter like that, an email or a few kind words left on my blog, really makes my day. Earlier this week I wrote a support post and got a great response. To those who donated, thank you, the money will be well spent, I assure you!
To all the great companies, Dexter Industries, Generation Robotics, HiTechnic, Holit Data Systems, LEGO, Microinfinity, Mindsensors and Robomatter, thank you for sharing your products with me, allowing to play with your toys and be part of the development of exciting new things.
Thank you to the ROBOTC community for actually using the stuff I write; when I started writing these driver, I never figured they’d be useful to many people other than myself and perhaps a handful of others.
Last, but certainly not least, my wonderful wife, Tammy, who, at the time of marrying me, had no idea I was going to get back into LEGO at some point and accrue such an extensive collection of bricks, beams, pins and other robot stuff, a big thank you for having the patience to put up with my obsession.
To all all of you, thank you!
And thank you for your work on the driver-suite!
I know what your secret is…
Oh, and also cool new comment design!
I don’t think I changed anything, might have been the recent WordPress update 🙂
I like the TOP SECRET post-it note on the desktop, next to the Wii Nunchuck. Did anyone notice that Dexter Industries announced the NXTChuck?
Xander gets all the cool toys! Thanks for always sharing with us through your blog.
I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’m sure. Nothing to see here, please move along. Thank you.
But yes, that is a prototype for a DI Nunchuck interface that I am playing with. It was designed by Matthew Richardson. The sensor will be manufactured by Dexter Industries. So there you have it, the secret’s out. That really was dumb of me to leave the Nunchuck out there. Doh!
[…] rest assured, I am working on it. As some of my readers pointed out, they had spotted it in a post I made earlier, despite my attempt to hide it under a Post-It. The sensor was not visible but the […]
You’ll need to know that every LEGO enthusiast using 3rd party sensor is really grateful and especially peoples working on programming area who knows the huge effort behind the scene appreciate your well done job. Without your effort probably lot of 3rd party sensors would be not as much appreciated as they are. Thank you for your hard work on supporting LEGO community.
Thank you for the kind words, they are much appreciated! I love writing the drivers, knowing they’re helping someone out there 🙂
