Becoming Part of the Robomatter Team

featured-bigmove
As of 1 December 2014, I will be become part of the Robomatter team.  It’s quite a radical change from my current day job as an IT Infrastructure Architect at CGI.  It will also mean relocating from the Netherlands to Pittsburgh, USA, home of Carnegie Mellon University and The Penguins. (Let’s Go Pens!)

I’ve been involved in one way or another with one of Robomatter’s products, ROBOTC, for quite some time, writing and maintaining my Driver Suite.  I was also involved with the porting of ROBOTC to the new MINDSTORMS EV3 platform.  When I start at Robomatter this December, I will transition into the role of ROBOTC Development Lead, which is a super exciting prospect.

The move is happening on quite a short timeline and we’ll actually be spending some of the moving period in Canada, with my parents-in-law, while we wait for all our stuff to be shipped to the US.  It will be great to spend Christmas with them again, the last time was back in 2000.  If all goes well, our stuff will arrive in Pittsburgh in the beginning of January and so will we.

Botbench.com will continue to operate as before, although the frequency of posts may be a little lower during the months of October and November, while we get our stuff sorted out.
